Megan Anna Rapinoe was born on the 5th July 1985, in Redding California. Megan began playing soccer as a child and developed her abilities during her teenage years. Rachael was her sister in fraternity. She went to the University of Portland with Rachael. Megan Rapinoe was a star in the team's soccer program at the University of Portland, being among the best scorers in collegiate women's soccer across the United States. After that, Rapinoe played for Seattle Washington Sounders Women - now Sound FC. In 2013, Rapinoe spent her time doing soccer with France. She then joined in the Seattle Reign FC now OL Reign of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL created after the WPS split up. Rapinoe was one of the club's top scorers and eventually became coach of the club. She also competed in her second Olympics which took place in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, in the year 2016. In 2016, the U.S. was knocked out of the quarterfinals at Rio. Rapinoe's participation at the FIFA Women's World Cup began in the year 2011. Her participation helped in helping the U.S. Women's World Cup win successive championships between 2015 and the year 2019. In 2018, she was named cocaptain of the team. In the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo Japan postponed until 2021 because of COVID-19 virus. Rapinoe scored two goals in the bronze-medal game as her team from the United States defeated Australia by an aggregate score of 4-3.
